Xiaomi India has rolled out its latest mid-range smartphone, the Redmi 15 5G, aligning the launch with the brand’s 15th global anniversary and 11 years of operations in India. The device is expected to strengthen Xiaomi’s market share in the fast-growing 5G segment.
The Redmi 15 5G comes with a 7000mAh EV-grade silicon-carbon battery offering up to 48 hours of power, alongside 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging. A 6.9-inch FHD+ Adaptive Sync display with a 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby-certified speakers, and TÜV Rheinland triple certification aim to enhance the consumer experience. Powered by Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, the phone supports up to 16GB RAM (including virtual RAM) and UFS 2.2 storage. Its 50MP AI dual rear camera and 8MP front camera add to the appeal, while XiaomiHyperOS 2 on Android 15 provides a smoother interface.
Market watchers expect the Redmi 15 5G to attract students, professionals, and entertainment-driven users. Dealers in the city said that rising interest in 5G-ready devices and demand for large batteries could make the model a strong performer in Bengal’s price-sensitive smartphone market.
