AR Rahman launches Naga International Studio in Nagaland

Oscar-winning composer AR will set up a facility to produce music and foster creativity in Kohima.
It was announced by Nagaland Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio on Friday in the presence of Rahman. “Happy to jointly announce the Naga International Studio by AR Rahman. It will be a hub for nurturing talent, storytelling, producing world-class music, and creative content inspired by Naga culture,” Rio said.
Rio thanked Rahman for recognising the potential of the Naga people and investing in the state. According to a press release, it will have an auditorium for performances, high-end recording facilities, and creative infrastructure to support music production.


Rio further said that it reflects Rahman’s love and care for the people of and how committed he is to nurturing artistic talent in the far-flung areas of the country. Rio promised complete support for Rahman from his government. “This is a meaningful step that reflects our shared commitment to nurturing creativity, innovation, and supporting creative talent. I wish this initiative growth, excellence, and impact,” the CM stated.
