Union minister calls on Rio, reviews central schemes in Nagaland

Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey on Sunday called on Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio and held detailed discussions on issues concerning the development of the state. “It was a pleasure to meet and interact with Satish Chandra Dubey, Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines. I warmly welcome his visit, and I hope it will contribute to positive outcomes,” Rio said. Dubey described the meeting as courteous, detailed and meaningful, during which they discussed various aspects of Nagaland’s development.  Earlier, the Union Minister reviewed the implementation of central schemes in Kohima district. Dubey visited Rusoma village and took stock of ongoing development works, including the village council hall and circular road, health facilities, schools, implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission, health and wellness centre, and the orange orchard. Speaking at a programme at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall in Kohima, in the presence of district heads of offices, tribal leaders, and representatives of civil society organisations, Dubey said the visit was aimed at assessing the on-ground impact of schemes and the effective utilisation of public funds.
