CDSL IPF launches ‘Ms. Atmanirbhar Investor’ campaign to boost women’s participation in securities market

Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) Investor Protection Fund (IPF) has launched a digital awareness campaign titled ‘Ms. Atmanirbhar Investor’, aimed at encouraging women to responsibly begin their investment journey in the securities market. The campaign has been introduced around International Women’s Day under CDSL IPF’s flagship investor awareness initiative ‘AtmanirbHER’.

As part of the campaign, CDSL IPF has released two digital advertisement films, which have been rolled out in 12 Indian languages to reach women investors nationwide. The first film depicts a group of friends encouraging a hesitant woman to overcome her doubts and take the first step towards informed investing. The second film celebrates her decision to begin investing, symbolising confidence and financial independence. Together, the films promote the message #BanoMsAtmanirbharInvestor, emphasising the importance of research-backed and planned investing.

Speaking about the campaign, Nayana Ovalekar, Chief Regulatory Officer at CDSL and Trustee of CDSL IPF, said financial self-sufficiency is a powerful form of empowerment and that informed investing can help women build long-term financial security.

In Guwahati, awareness initiatives and digital investment platforms are encouraging more women in the region to open demat accounts and explore securities market opportunities, reflecting a gradual shift towards financial participation and independence.
