A 22-year-old woman from Nagaland was found hanging at her residence in Aravindnagar, Chikkamagaluru city, Karnataka on Wednesday. Police identified the deceased as Linsula, who was employed at a resort. Preliminary investigations revealed that she had spoken to a person identified as Kivishe Kinimi for about 30 minutes prior to the incident. According to police sources, Linsula had mentioned in her diary that two youths, Rajesh and Tejas, had been subjecting her to physical and mental harassment under the pretext of a relationship. Based on this, Lashila, known to the deceased, lodged a complaint at Basavanahalli police station against the two accused. The diary, which has been seized by police, also indicated that Linsula was burdened with family responsibilities, including caring for her parents, while continuing her work despite the alleged harassment. Police visited the spot and have initiated further investigation into the case. The family of the deceased in Nagaland has been informed, and further details are awaited.
