Nissan India’s Domestic Sales Skyrocket 98% in March 2026, Thanks to Gravite

Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. reported a sharp surge in domestic sales in March 2026, registering a 98% month-on-month growth, driven by the launch momentum of its new SUV, the Nissan GRAVITE. The company recorded cumulative sales of 10,388 units during the month, including domestic wholesale of 4,408 units — its highest monthly domestic figure in the past five years.

Exports contributed 5,980 units, underscoring Nissan’s continued global market linkage. The strong domestic performance was supported by the commencement of customer deliveries of the GRAVITE in March, which has received a positive response nationwide. The model is the first of three upcoming products under Nissan’s India Resurgence plan, aimed at boosting market share and product presence. Managing Director Saurabh Vatsa said March marked a “defining month” for the company, citing strong customer response and sustained demand for the Nissan Magnite. He added that network expansion and improved sales and service experience remain key priorities.

In Guwahati, Nissan’s growth reflects rising demand for compact SUVs, especially among urban buyers seeking affordability and features. Dealers report increasing interest in the GRAVITE alongside the Magnite, with improved financing options and dealership expansion aiding market penetration in Assam and the wider Northeast region.
