Huge 4-0 Victory Against Iceland Germany Concludes Preparations at Home

Before departing for America, Germany—one of Europe’s major powerhouses—concluded its preparations on home soil. Last night at the MHP Arena, riding on fast-paced football and excellent finishing, Germany defeated Iceland by a margin of 4-0. In a match of complete dominance, they kept 65% ball possession to dismantle Iceland. Out of 22 shots taken for goal, 12 were on target. Despite their dominance, they had to wait until the 34th minute for the first goal. Deniz Undav scored the opening goal with a header from a Joshua Kimmich corner. After the break, Florian Wirtz doubled the lead.
A short while later, Undav scored his second individual goal. In the 63rd minute, Jamal Musiala netted the fourth goal. This coming Sunday, hosts Germany will play their final friendly match against America. Their World Cup campaign will begin on June 14 with a match against Curaçao.
