Day-Long Celebrations Mark 23rd Raising Day of CRPF 175 Battalion in Rani

The 23rd Raising Day of the 175 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was celebrated today with day-long programmes at the battalion’s headquarters campus in Rani, West Guwahati.

Commandant Rajiv Kumar Jha of 175 CRPF inaugurated the Raising Day programme in the morning by paying tribute to the brave martyred jawans and officers of the force.

On the occasion, Second-in-Command Amit Sinha and Mukund Mohan, Deputy Commandant Amit Joshi and Birat Kumar Singh, Senior Medical Officer Dr. Ajay Kumar, along with other officers and jawans of the battalion, paid their respects to the martyrs.

Later, a Sainik Sammelan was held in the conference hall of the battalion headquarters. Addressing the gathering, Commandant Rajiv Kumar Jha spoke about the aims and objectives of the formation of the CRPF and called upon everyone to maintain discipline.

In the evening, a cultural programme was held in connection with the Raising Day. Commandant Rajiv Kumar Jha and several other officers of the battalion were present at the event.

Several officers, jawans, and their family members, including children, captivated the audience with performances of patriotic dances, songs, and skits.
