Online travel technology platform EaseMyTrip has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Tourism, Government of Jharkhand, to promote the state’s diverse tourism offerings through digital initiatives and attract more domestic travellers.
Under the partnership, EaseMyTrip will use its technology platform, extensive customer reach and dedicated spiritual and domestic tourism vertical EasyDarshan to showcase Jharkhand’s major attractions. The initiative will highlight destinations including Shri Baidyanath Dham, prominent temples, waterfalls, forests, eco-tourism sites, agri-tourism experiences and the state’s rich cultural heritage.
EaseMyTrip Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder Rikant Pittie said the collaboration aims to bring Jharkhand’s spiritual, cultural and nature-based tourism experiences to a wider audience across India. He added that the company will support the state government’s efforts to improve destination visibility and encourage travellers to explore its unique offerings.
The partnership comes at a time when domestic tourism in India is witnessing strong growth, with travellers increasingly looking for authentic and diverse experiences. Through targeted digital campaigns and travel solutions, the collaboration is expected to strengthen Jharkhand’s position as an emerging tourism destination while contributing to local economic development. The initiative will focus on increasing awareness of Jharkhand’s attractions and creating new opportunities for tourism growth across the state.
