Vodafone Idea (Vi) has partnered with Spotify to introduce three new prepaid recharge plans that bundle Spotify Premium at no additional cost, expanding its digital entertainment portfolio and targeting India’s growing base of content-driven mobile users. The new offerings combine premium music streaming with voice, data and OTT benefits in a single recharge. Vi said the Rs. 435 Non-Stop Hero prepaid plan includes unlimited 4G/5G data, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day, JioHotstar (Mobile) access and Spotify Premium with 28 days validity. The Rs. 250 prepaid plan offers 2GB data, unlimited calls, 300 SMS and Spotify Premium for 28 days. The Rs. 230 add-on pack provides 30GB of high-speed data, Spotify Premium and access to more than 20 OTT platforms, including JioHotstar, ZEE5, SonyLIV, FanCode and Lionsgate Play, with a validity of 28 days.
Customers can activate Spotify Premium by recharging with an eligible pack and claiming the benefit through the Vi App using an existing or new Spotify account. The subscription remains linked to the recharge cycle and can be renewed through subsequent eligible recharges. Vi said the bundled plans are among its most economical prepaid offerings with a premium music benefit and further strengthen its entertainment portfolio, which already includes Netflix, Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, SonyLIV and ZEE5 across select prepaid and postpaid plans.
In Guwahati, the new bundled plans are expected to strengthen Vi’s appeal among students, young professionals and digital-first consumers who increasingly use smartphones for music, video streaming and online entertainment. With mobile data consumption continuing to rise across Assam, the inclusion of Spotify Premium alongside OTT access and high-data benefits could help Vi enhance customer retention and compete more aggressively in Guwahati’s highly competitive prepaid telecom market, where value-added digital services are becoming a key differentiator.
