JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the MG Hector Tomahawk, offering the SUV in both electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) versions. The Hector Tomahawk is the first SUV built on MG’s ADAPT platform, which the company describes as India’s first Multi-New Energy Vehicle platform. The EV variant has been introduced at an introductory Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) price of ₹13.99 lakh, along with a battery rental charge of ₹4.90 per km for a limited number of bookings. Its introductory ex-showroom price starts at ₹19.49 lakh.
The PHEV version starts at ₹21.79 lakh under the BaaSprogramme, with a battery rental charge of ₹3.20 per km, while its introductory ex-showroom price begins at ₹25.69 lakh. The EV is equipped with a 69.2 kWh battery and has a claimed range of 517 km on a single charge. The PHEV combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 20.5 kWh battery and is claimed to offer over 115 km of pure-electric range and a combined range of more than 1,100 km. The SUV also features Level 2 ADAS, a 15.6-inch HD display, over 80 connected features, GenAI-powered voice assistance and Vehicle-to-Home capability. Deliveries of the EV will begin in September 2026, while PHEV deliveries are scheduled to start in November
