TVS Motor sales jump 21% in August as EVs, exports drive growth

TVS Motor Company, part of TVS VENU, reported a 21% year-on-year growth in monthly sales at 616,540 units in August 2026, compared with 509,536 units sold in August 2025, supported by strong momentum across its electric vehicle, international and three-wheeler businesses.

Total two-wheeler sales rose 21% to 591,437 units during the month from 490,788 units a year earlier. Domestic two-wheeler sales increased 18% to 433,796 units in August 2026, compared with 368,862 units in August 2025, pointing to continued demand in the domestic market.

The electric vehicle segment remained a key growth driver, with two-wheeler EV sales surging 137% to 59,453 units from 25,138 units in the year-ago period.

TVS Motor’s international business recorded 29% growth, with total sales increasing to 174,452 units from 135,367 units in August 2025. International two-wheeler sales similarly grew 29% to 157,641 units from 121,926 units.

Three-wheeler sales also strengthened, rising 34% to 25,103 units from 18,748 units a year earlier.

The broad-based performance underscores sustained demand across TVS Motor’s key segments, with EVs and international markets emerging as major contributors to overall sales growth.
