Amway India turns to Ayurveda to build aRs 100 crore wellness business

For consumers increasingly looking at preventive and plant-based approaches to health, Amway India is seeking to bring traditional Ayurveda into everyday wellness with the launch of Nutrilite Ayurveda, a nine-product portfolio that the company aims to develop into aRs 100 crore category over the next two years.

The initiative combines 5,000 years of Ayurvedic knowledge with more than 90 years of Nutrilite’s botanical science. Amway said the expansion also aligns with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision and the Government of India’s efforts to strengthen the AYUSH ecosystem.

The first phase includes Kalamegha for healthy liver function, Shigru (moringa) to help reduce extra fat deposition and inflammation, and Vrikshamla (garcinia) to support metabolism and satiety. Priced at Rs 449, Rs 651 and Rs 449, respectively, the products will be available from September 8 through Amway-authorised channels and stores, as well as the company’s website.

The company said the products use botanicals sourced from organically cultivated NutriCert-certified farms and are manufactured at its Tamil Nadu facility, linking consumers to local farmers and the wider Ayurveda value chain.

Amway India Managing Director Rajneesh Chopra said the company sees growing opportunities for Ayurveda-led innovation and manufacturing in India.

The AYUSH-registered formulations undergo DNA fingerprinting, active ingredient testing, seed-to-supplement traceability and multi-step safety testing. The launch builds on Nutrilite Chyawanprash.
