Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) is expanding into India’s rapidly growing digital infrastructure security market after securing a mandate from Yotta and NTT Data Center to deploy its integrated Key Management Solution with seamless integration into the Genetec security platform.
The mandate, initially awarded for a single data centre, was subsequently expanded to multiple facilities following a live demonstration that showcased centralised key management, enhanced security, operational efficiency and compatibility with current and future versions of Genetec software.
The opportunity was facilitated through Godrej’s technology partnership with Genetec, which recommended the company based on its integration capabilities and experience in securing critical infrastructure. Godrej said it is currently the only organisation in India integrated with the Genetec platform, giving it an early-mover advantage in the segment.
With India’s data centre capacity expected to exceed 3 GW by 2028, growth in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, digital payments, enterprise digitisation, e-governance and data localisation is driving demand for resilient, compliant and integrated infrastructure security systems.
Godrej’s Security Solutions business, which serves sectors including banking, government, manufacturing and infrastructure and exports to over 60 countries, is targeting ₹50 crore in revenue from the data centre segment over the next two years.
In Guwahati, the development could be relevant as the Northeast’s digital economy expands. Growing adoption of cloud services, digital payments, government digitisation and enterprise technology could strengthen the case for advanced data infrastructure and integrated security solutions in Guwahati, which is emerging as an important connectivity and commercial hub for the region.
