Bank of Baroda strengthens CSR outreach with support to Mizoram rehabilitation centre

Bank of Baroda has extended corporate social responsibility (CSR) support to the Thutak Nunpuitu Team (TNT) Centre at Muanna Veng in Aizawl, Mizoram, by providing essential food supplies to meet the facility’s daily kitchen requirements, reaffirming its commitment to disadvantaged communities.

The assistance was provided during a visit by Lal Singh, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda, on October 15. The TNT Centre is a major rehabilitation facility in Mizoram, offering care and support to orphans, persons with disabilities and individuals with substance use disorders.

The supplies were received by R. Malsawmtluanga, General Secretary of TNT, in the presence of Shiba Pada Nayak, General Manager and Zonal Head, Bank of Baroda’s Northeastern States Zone, and Diwakar Jha, Deputy General Manager and Regional Head, Guwahati Region, along with TNT volunteers and bank staff.

Singh said supporting vulnerable sections of society was central to the bank’s commitment to inclusive growth. He highlighted TNT’s contribution to rehabilitation and community welfare, stressing the importance of collective efforts in building a more equitable society.

In Guwahati, the initiative highlights the role of banking institutions in extending their CSR activities across the Northeast. Such interventions strengthen the regional banking sector’s engagement with community development while demonstrating a commitment to social inclusion beyond conventional financial services.
