Nissan Magnite surpasses 2 lakh sales globally, CNG variant fuels new growth

Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) has announced a major milestone with its compact SUV, the Nissan Magnite, surpassing 2,00,000 cumulative sales globally since its 2020 debut. The achievement reflects the car’s strong market traction across domestic and export segments, with 28,000+ units sold in India annually and a growing presence in over 65 countries.Marking the occasion, Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, said the milestone reaffirms the company’s commitment to innovation and customer trust. “We are grateful to our customers worldwide. The Magnite continues to define value with style and technology,” he said.

The company also introduced a government-approved CNG kit priced at ₹74,999, catering to rising demand for fuel alternatives. Compatible with the 1.0-litre petrol manual variant, the kit is certified and installed at authorised centres.

The Magnite has become a preferred SUV choice, driven by its affordability, rugged design, and feature-packed variants—suiting both city roads and regional terrains. Dealers report increased footfall after the CNG variant announcement. Looking ahead, Nissan plans to launch three new vehicles—including a 7-seater MPV and two C-segment SUVs—under its ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ vision, strengthening its foothold in high-growth segments.
