A charged atmosphere in Shivsthan village escalated on the second Monday of the sacred Shravan month following the finding of suspected animal remains, which included a hide and internal organs, along the riverbank of the village.
This incident ignited feelings of anger, concern, and fear among the residents, particularly due to the religious significance of the day. Sub-Inspector Jayanta Narah, accompanied by a police team, arrived to maintain public order, while members of the Bajrang Dal took it upon themselves to bury the remains.
Local organizations have called upon the administration to take decisive action against those responsible, cautioning that repeated assaults on religious sentiments could lead to severe repercussions.
