A key coordination meeting regarding the implementation of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026 and the monitoring of Key Project Indicators (KPI) was convened at the DPDB Hall in Kiphire on August 27, 2026. Chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer, the session was organized to ensure strict compliance with mandated environmental rules as well as judicial directives issued under Supreme Court Civil Appeal No. 6174/2023. During the session, participating members presented detailed departmental progress reports, status updates, and essential documentation for comprehensive review. The discussions focused on reinforcing implementation measures, assessing current departmental progress, and identifying strategic actions needed to enhance waste management infrastructure and align local operations with national regulatory frameworks.
