Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Vigraha is conducting an operational visit to Jakarta, Indonesia from December 02-05, 2025, as part of its deployment to ASEAN countries. This visit includes interactions between ICG personnel and the Indonesian Coast Guard (BAKAMLA), focusing on maritime law enforcement, marine pollution response, and search and rescue operations. Activities such as joint training sessions and drills aim to enhance interoperability against illegal fishing, piracy, trafficking, and environmental hazards. The visit aligns with the Memorandum of Understanding signed in July 2020, institutionalizing their cooperation. Following the Jakarta visit, ICGS Vigraha will continue to Port Klang, Malaysia, emphasizing India’s commitment to regional maritime security and collaboration in the Indo-Pacific.
