“Bodoland Speaks: From Vision to Action,” a historic program that unites the goals, accomplishments, and voices of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), will be hosted by the Bodoland Territorial Council. Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma will officially launch the event on July 6 at the Srimanta Sankaradeva International Auditorium in Guwahati, with BTR CEM Pramod Boro and other dignitaries in attendance. The program’s main goal is to showcase BTR’s transformation from isolation to inclusion and from conflict to cooperation through grassroots involvement, culture, language, and government. The ceremonial release of books like “Transforming Bodoland: A Journey of Change in BTR, Looking Within: My Reflections,” written by BTR CEM Pramod Boro, and the “Annual Report of the Bodoland Happiness Mission (2024–25)” are among the most eagerly awaited highlights.
Additionally, the event will mark the release of “BTR Communication Bridge,” a historic 600-page volume that reflects the linguistic diversity of BTR’s 26 communities by compiling 1001 essential words and 1001 everyday-use sentences translated into 18 regional languages, including Bodo, Assamese, Rabha, Kurukh, Sadhri, Nepali, Deshi, and more. Initiatives such as the Bodoland Migrant Women Livelihood Support program and the Bodoland Engaged Ethnography Initiative will also be launched during the event. The day will also be commemorated as a celebration of knowledge, tradition, and collaborative future-building in the region through contacts with literary groups and community leaders, as well as the presentation of the Bodoland Lifetime Achievers Award—Folk Cultures, 2025.
