Nissan Motor India has announced a nationwide 55-minute vehicle exchange programme in partnership with Spinny, aiming to streamline car buying and selling under its ‘Customer First’ strategy. The initiative enables on-the-spot vehicle assessment, quick exchange, and access to attractive exchange bonuses for customers purchasing new Nissan vehicles.
The programme will be supported by dedicated Spinny evaluators across 30 key cities, with on-ground counters at Nissan dealerships to provide real-time assistance. Customers can also access the exchange service through Spinny’s digital interface. A key highlight is the acceptance of a Spinny-issued ‘Selling Letter’ as valid proof of exchange, removing the need for RC transfer documentation and ensuring faster, hassle-free transactions.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen Nissan’s dealer ecosystem through improved used car inventory management, incremental lead generation, and joint marketing initiatives. Nissan said the move integrates digital and physical touchpoints to create a more agile retail environment.
Managing Director Saurabh Vatsa said the initiative reinforces Nissan’s focus on convenience, transparency, and value, while Spinny CEO Niraj Singh highlighted its role in simplifying ownership journeys.
The programme complements Nissan’s growing portfolio, including the New Magnite and the recently launched Nissan Gravite, priced at an introductory Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom) with a limited-period launch edition. In Guwahati, the faster exchange model is expected to boost upgrade cycles, especially in the price-sensitive compact SUV segment. With rising demand for value-driven models, the initiative could increase dealership conversions and strengthen Nissan’s retail footprint in the Northeast.
