Advisor for IPR and Soil & Water Conservation, Imkong L Imchen, conducted an extensive tour of Chungtia, Sabangya, and Aliba villages on Wednesday, engaging with village council members and local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) units while assessing developmental prospects in the region. During his interactions, Imchen expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Koridang Constituency for entrusting him with representation for five consecutive terms. He emphasized that his dedication to public service is sincere and rooted in a commitment to the welfare of the community.
Addressing concerns related to political identity, the advisor clarified that while certain communities may support a particular party, the party itself does not belong to any religion, urging citizens to distinguish between political affiliation and faith. Responding to requests from local councils, Imchen shared that road upgradation projects under the ‘Other Roads Plan’ are set to begin soon in Chungtia village. He noted that all necessary equipment and materials are ready, and the project will be supervised by Executive Engineer (R&B) Mokokchung, Er. Toshikaba, with the support of Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio.
At Aliba village, Imchen assured council members that the proposed rest house and multi-purpose building will be implemented in a phased manner in the near future, reflecting the government’s commitment to infrastructure and community development. The tour underscored Imchen’s focus on strengthening local governance, enhancing infrastructure, and fostering public trust, reinforcing his pledge to serve the people of Koridang with transparency and dedication.
