Nissan on Tuesday unveiled the all-new PIXO, a compact electric city car developed specifically for urban driving in Europe, expanding the automaker’s growing electric vehicle line-up alongside the recently launched LEAF and MICRA.
The A-segment PIXO offers a driving range of up to 259 km from a 27.5kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. It comes with 50kW DC rapid charging as standard, allowing the battery to charge from 15 to 80 per cent in about 28 minutes. An 11kW AC bi-directional charging system is also available for home and workplace charging.
Measuring 3,796mm in length and 1,790mm in width, PIXO is designed for narrow city roads and tight parking spaces. Independent rear sliding seats provide greater flexibility, while boot capacity stands at 356 litres with the rear seats raised and 1,221 litres with them folded.
The vehicle features Google built-in, Gemini, Face ID, a 10-inch infotainment screen and a 7-inch driver display. It also gets One Pedal technology, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and hands-free parking as standard.
In Guwahati, PIXO’s compact dimensions, practical cabin and electric powertrain could be relevant to growing interest in smaller urban vehicles, particularly for daily commuting and navigating congested city roads. However, Nissan has not announced plans or pricing for an India launch.
Designed by Nissan and manufactured by Renault, PIXO will be produced in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. Customer deliveries in Europe are scheduled to begin in early 2027, with pricing and pre-order details expected from December.
