Swedish beauty and wellbeing company Oriflame is targeting India to become its largest global market by 2030, with the country expected to account for one in every four euros of its global revenue, up from around one in 10 currently.
The company plans to expand its footprint from 517 towns and cities to another 500 locations, with Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets forming a key part of the strategy. Oriflame also aims to add 10 lakh new Beauty Entrepreneurs by 2030, strengthening its direct-selling network and expanding access to its beauty and wellbeing portfolio.
In Guwahati, the expansion could create opportunities in beauty, personal care and entrepreneurship as consumer demand increasingly extends beyond major metros. The company’s focus on digital tools, personal recommendations and community-based selling could help it deepen its reach among consumers and independent Beauty Entrepreneurs in Guwahati and across the Northeast.
More than 80% of Oriflame’s Brand Partners in India are women. CEO and President Kenneth Benaim Campbell said India’s large consumer base, entrepreneurial energy and growing interest in beauty and wellbeing make the country increasingly important to Oriflame’s global ambitions.
The company is also strengthening local manufacturing through partnerships including Akums and exploring opportunities to scale production in India for select international markets. With operations in more than 60 markets, Oriflame said it will continue investing in products, training, technology and digital capabilities while retaining trust and personal recommendation at the centre of its social-selling model.
