Renault expands Triber portfolio with 100PS turbo model at ₹7.84 lakh

Renault India has expanded its Triber portfolio with the launch of the Triber 100PS, priced from ₹7.84 lakh to ₹8.99 lakh (ex-showroom), marking the Indian debut of the Renault Group Entry Platform (RGEP). The company said the new model combines turbocharged performance, seven-seat flexibility and fuel efficiency while retaining the sub-four-metre footprint.

The Triber 100PS is powered by a Turbo TCe 100 petrol engine generating 100 PS and segment-leading 180 Nm of torque, with certified fuel efficiency of 21 kmpl. Renault has re-engineered the vehicle with a new Renault Engine Management System, advanced thermal management, structural enhancements, revised suspension geometry, front and rear anti-roll bars, MTV Damper Technology, optimised braking calibration and India-specific vehicle-dynamics tuning. A BLDC cooling fan has also been introduced.

The model retains five-, six- and seven-seat configurations, 100-plus seating combinations and a 625-litre expandable boot with five seats. It also offers 182 mm ground clearance, 23 litres of interior storage and independent rear air-conditioning. Six airbags and 21 safety features are standard.

For the Guwahati market, the Triber 100PS could broaden Renault’s offering to urban families and buyers in the Northeast seeking a compact seven-seater with stronger performance and fuel efficiency. Its sub-four-metre dimensions and 1.0-litre engine also qualify it for the 18% GST rate applicable to small petrol cars.

Renault said more than 2.5 lakh Triber units have been sold in India. The launch forms part of its futuREady India strategy and 12 product interventions planned over 18 months.
