SBI Life strengthens para sports push with principal partnership for 2026 season

SBI Life Insurance has strengthened its association with the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) by becoming the Principal Partner of the Indian contingent for the 2026 para sports season, reinforcing its brand positioning through sports sponsorship while expanding its presence in purpose-driven partnerships. As part of the collaboration, SBI Life will serve as the Official Life Insurance Partner of the Indian Paralympic contingent participating in the Commonwealth Para Games 2026 in Glasgow and the Asian Para Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The move builds on the company’s successful association with India’s para-athletes during the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

The insurer said the partnership reflects its commitment to supporting India’s elite para-athletes and promoting confidence, preparation and resilience. SBI Life Chief of Brand, Corporate Communication and CSR Ravindra Sharma said the initiative aligns with the company’s brand philosophy, ‘ApneLiye, ApnoKeLiye’, and underlines its focus on enabling individuals and families to pursue their aspirations while preparing for life’s uncertainties.

PCI President DevendraJhajharia welcomed the renewed partnership, recalling India’s historic haul of 29 medals at the Paris 2024 Paralympics and noting that corporate support plays a critical role in creating an ecosystem where para-athletes can focus on sporting excellence. With India’s para-athletes gearing up for two major international events in 2026, the partnership highlights the growing role of corporate sponsorships in strengthening the country’s sports ecosystem while enhancing SBI Life’s brand visibility and long-term stakeholder engagement.
