Škoda doubles down on sedans with new Slavia, Octavia RS and Superb TDI

Škoda Auto India has unveiled the new Slavia, expanding its sedan strategy with upgraded technology, comfort and powertrain options, while announcing the return of the Octavia RS and all-new Superb TDI to India. The move comes as the automaker seeks to build on the Slavia’s nearly 80,000-unit sales milestone and strengthen its position in the Indian passenger vehicle market. The new Slavia gets refreshed LED lighting with sequential indicators, new alloy designs, a Monte Carlo trim and an eight-speed torque-converter automatic paired with the 1.0 TSI engine. The 1.0 TSI also gets a six-speed manual, while the 1.5 TSI continues with a seven-speed DSG. Key upgrades include a segment-first rear-seat massage function, 360-degree Area View camera, 10.25-inch digital cockpit and AI-enabled infotainment with Google Cloud technology, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

In Guwahati, the expanded Slavia package could strengthen Škoda’s proposition among premium sedan buyers, with the model’s combination of safety, automatic transmission choices and urban convenience features suited to city use and highway travel. The existing Slavia is already sold through Škoda dealers in Guwahati, indicating an established retail base for the refreshed model.

The Slavia retains its 5-star Global NCAP credentials and six airbags as standard. Pre-bookings are open at ₹15,000. The 265 PS Octavia RS is limited to 50 units, with bookings at ₹2.5 lakh, while the Superb TDI is expected to begin deliveries by the end of Q2 next year. All three models receive Škoda Super Care, including a four-year/100,000-km warranty, four years of roadside assistance and four labour-free services.
