TVS Motor hits record quarterly sales as June volumes surge 47%

TVS Motor Company has reported its highest-ever quarterly sales, registering total dispatches of 16.31 lakh units in the first quarter of FY2026-27, driven by robust demand across domestic and overseas markets, strong electric vehicle (EV) growth and higher three-wheeler sales. The company also recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in June, with total volumes rising 47 per cent year-on-year to 5,90,003 units from 4,02,001 units in the corresponding month last year.

During the April-June quarter, two-wheeler sales grew 27 per cent to 15.64 lakh units from 12.32 lakh units, while three-wheeler sales increased 48 per cent to 67,000 units from 45,000 units. International business posted its best-ever quarterly performance, rising 33 per cent to 4.68 lakh units compared with 3.52 lakh units a year earlier. The company also achieved its highest-ever quarterly electric two-wheeler sales at 1.30 lakh units. In June, domestic two-wheeler sales rose 46 per cent to 4,11,014 units. Motorcycle sales climbed 42 per cent to 2,67,096 units, while scooter sales surged 53 per cent to 2,47,950 units. Electric two-wheeler sales more than tripled to 48,537 units from 14,400 units in June 2025. International sales increased 47 per cent to 1,72,355 units, including a 48 per cent rise in two-wheeler exports to 1,54,403 units. Three-wheeler sales also advanced 51 per cent to 24,586 units.

In Guwahati, TVS Motor’s record sales performance is expected to strengthen its presence across Assam and the Northeast, where demand for commuter motorcycles, scooters and electric vehicles continues to rise. Dealers in Guwahati are likely to benefit from improved customer sentiment, while the company’s expanding EV portfolio and sustained sales momentum could further boost adoption of electric mobility and support higher retail volumes in the region during the upcoming festive season.
