TVS Motor posts 27% Q2 growth as EV and international sales accelerate

TVS Motor Company (TVSM), part of TVS VENU, reported strong sales growth in the second quarter of FY2026-27, supported by rising electric vehicle (EV) demand and higher international sales.

The company recorded total sales of 1.9 million units during the quarter. Two-wheeler sales increased 27% to 1.8 million units from 1.5 million units in Q2 FY2025-26, while three-wheeler sales rose 47% to 78,475 units from 53,449 units.

TVSM’s international business grew 35% to 539,000 units from around 400,000 units. Two-wheeler EV sales more than doubled, rising 133% to 186,000 units during the quarter.

In September 2026, total sales increased 24% year-on-year to 672,790 units from 541,064 units. Two-wheeler sales grew 23% to 645,955 units, with domestic sales rising 17% to 482,073 units.

EV momentum remained strong, with electric two-wheeler sales jumping 110% to 65,799 units from 31,266 units a year earlier. International business sales increased 48% to 180,700 units, while international two-wheeler sales rose 48% to 163,882 units.

Three-wheeler sales climbed 57% to 26,835 units from 17,141 units in September 2025.

TVS Motor operates across 90 countries, with four manufacturing facilities in India and Indonesia.
