TVS Motor Company on Thursday announced the induction of Ravindran Shanmugam as an Independent Director for a period of five consecutive years effective May 13, 2026, subject to shareholders’ approval. The Bengaluru-based two and three-wheeler manufacturer said Shanmugam is a seasoned technology entrepreneur and business leader with expertise in scaling consumer-focused businesses, digital transformation and AI-led platforms across global markets. He is currently the Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Mablle, a Singapore-based AI-enabled interior design and renovation platform. He previously worked with McKinsey & Company as a management consultant, advising companies on growth and business strategy.
An alumnus of the University of Oxford, Shanmugam brings expertise in technology, innovation, platform businesses and strategic governance. TVS Motor said his appointment would further strengthen the company’s corporate governance standards and future-ready growth strategy. SudarshanVenu, Chairman of TVS Motor Company, said Shanmugam’s experience in AI-led transformation, entrepreneurship and digital businesses would add valuable depth to the company’s board. Shanmugam said he was honoured to join an institution known for engineering excellence, customer trust and global ambition.
In Guwahati, the induction signals TVS Motor’s growing focus on technology-driven mobility solutions. Industry observers in Assam said rising demand for connected vehicles, digital services and smart mobility features in the Northeast market could help the company strengthen its presence further in the region.
