In a significant step toward strengthening digital resilience, cybersecurity capabilities, and future workforce readiness in Northeast India, Veeam Software India Private Limited today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with four leading higher education institutions and universities of Assam. The event was held this afternoon at Hotel Radisson Blu, Jalukbari, Guwahati.
The four institutions are: Assam Science and Technology University, Jalukbari; Gauhati University; Assam Don Bosco University; and Assam Down Town University.
Under these MoUs, Veeam Software and the participating universities will collaborate to advance research, innovation, workforce development, and industry-integrated learning opportunities. The initiative is expected to benefit more than 25,000 students across the Northeast region over the next three years. This will create one of the most comprehensive industry-academia collaborations in the region in the field of digital technology.
Speaking at the event, Sandeep Bhambure, Vice President and Managing Director, Veeam Software India Private Limited and SAARC, said: “While organizations across the world are accelerating their digital transformation journeys, a highly skilled workforce capable of securing critical data and digital infrastructure has yet to be created. Through our collaboration with Assam’s leading universities, we are committed to empowering the next generation of professionals with industry-relevant knowledge, practical skills, and globally aligned expertise in cybersecurity, cyber resilience, cloud technologies, and artificial intelligence.”
