Xiaomi India on Tuesday launched the REDMI A7 Series, introducing the REDMI A7 and REDMI A7 Pro with a focus on affordability, performance, and long battery life, as the company strengthens its foothold in the entry-level smartphone segment.
The REDMI A7 features a 6.88-inch display, while the A7 Pro offers a larger 6.9-inch HD+ display with up to 120Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals. Both devices come with TÜV Rheinland-certified eye protection and wet touch technology. They support 15W charging with an in-box charger and 7.5W wired reverse charging for added convenience.
The series is equipped with 64GB storage, LPDDR4X RAM, and virtual RAM expansion to enhance multitasking. Camera features include a 13MP rear and 8MP front lens. Additional highlights include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IP52 durability, 3.5mm headphone jack, dual nano SIM support, and expandable storage up to 2TB. The A7 Pro also integrates Google Gemini and Circle to Search for smarter user interaction.
In Guwahati, retailers anticipate steady demand driven by price-sensitive consumers seeking reliable smartphones with larger displays and battery efficiency. Traders note that aggressive pricing—₹10,499 for REDMI A7 and ₹11,499 for REDMI A7 Pro—positions the devices competitively against rivals in the budget segment.
The REDMI A7 Series will be available from April 24 via Mi.com, Amazon India, Flipkart, and Xiaomi retail outlets.
