Xiaomi India has launched the REDMI Note 17 Pro Series, comprising the REDMI Note 17 Pro and REDMI Note 17 Pro Max, as the company seeks to strengthen its position in the competitive mid-range smartphone market with a focus on battery capacity, durability, imaging and performance.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max comes with a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery and 100W Xiaomi Hyper Charge, while the Pro features a 9,000mAh battery with 67W Hyper Charge. Both models support wired reverse charging and include their respective charging adapters. Xiaomi has also equipped the devices with SGS and TÜV Double Five-Star Quality Certifications, Corning Gorilla Victus 2 and IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings.
Both smartphones feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED Super Sunlight Display with 3,500 nits peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate, 12-bit colour depth and TÜV Triple Eye Protection. The Pro Max gets a 50MP OIS main camera with an f/1.5 aperture, while the Pro features a 50MP OIS main camera with an f/1.8 aperture.
In Guwahati, the launch expands Xiaomi’s premium-feature offering in the mid-range category, where demand is increasingly centred on long battery life, 5G connectivity, cameras and durability. The combination of large batteries and fast charging could particularly appeal to consumers seeking all-day smartphone usage.
The Pro 5G goes on sale from September 17 and the Pro Max 5G from September 23 through mi.com, Amazon.in and Xiaomi Retail. Offers include up to ₹5,000 instant bank discount or eligible cashback, along with YouTube Premium Lite, Google One and Eazy Diner Prime benefits. Eligible Jio users can also access an OTT Pass and 18 months of Google Gemini Pro benefits.
