Sony India has expanded its premium television portfolio with the launch of the 115-inch (292 cm) BRAVIA 9II, its largest-ever BRAVIA television, as the company sharpens its focus on India’s growing luxury home entertainment market. The launch also completes Sony’s True RGB BRAVIA lineup, which now spans screen sizes from 55 inches (140 cm) to 115 inches (292 cm). The flagship model was unveiled by Sony India Managing Director Sunil Nayyar and Nezu Daisuke, Global Head of Home Product Business Division, Sony Corporation.
Powered by Sony’s proprietary RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro and BRAVIA XR Processor, the new television offers enhanced colour accuracy, wider colour volume, higher brightness, improved contrast and lifelike picture quality. It also features a 12-speaker Acoustic Multi-Audio+ system, Google TV integration and future support for Gemini AI through an over-the-air update. Sony said the expanded portfolio reinforces its “Cinema is Coming Home” strategy, endorsed by filmmaker and brand ambassador S.S. Rajamouli, while catering to rising demand for immersive viewing experiences across movies, gaming and live sports.
The BRAVIA 9II series is available in 75-inch, 85-inch and the new 115-inch variants, while the BRAVIA 7II lineup includes 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch models. The 115-inch flagship carries an MRP of ₹45.99 lakh and a best-buy price of ₹28.99 lakh, while the remaining models are already available through Sony Centres, Sony Exclusive stores, ShopatSC.com, leading electronics retailers and major e-commerce platforms.
In Guwahati, the launch is expected to strengthen Sony’s presence in the Northeast’s premium consumer electronics segment, where demand for high-end televisions has been rising steadily among affluent households, luxury hotels, premium retail establishments and gaming enthusiasts. Retailers in Guwahati expect growing consumer interest ahead of the festive season, with larger screen sizes and premium display technologies increasingly influencing purchasing decisions in the region’s expanding home entertainment market.
