Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has launched the XUV 3XO ZNG, its first mainstream CNG passenger vehicle, at an introductory starting price of ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), targeting buyers seeking lower running costs without compromising on SUV performance, features and safety.
Powered by a 1.2-litre mStallion turbocharged engine, the XUV 3XO ZNG delivers 82 kW of power and 200 Nm of torque in both CNG and petrol modes. Mahindra claims a certified efficiency of 24.7 km/kg, with acceleration from 0-60 km/h in 4.9 seconds in CNG mode. Its underfloor twin-cylinder arrangement preserves 270 litres of boot space, while a 10-bar CNG injection system supports performance and efficiency.
The four variants are priced at ₹9.99 lakh for MX Edge, ₹10.79 lakh for REVX Edge (O), ₹11.19 lakh for AX5 and ₹12.27 lakh for REVX A. Features include touchscreen infotainment, cruise control, rear AC vents and a 60:40 split rear seat. All variants come with six airbags, electronic stability control, ISOFIX mounts and gas-leak detection technology.
Dr Velusamy R, president of automotive business at Mahindra, said the model combines CNG economy with SUV performance and practicality. Test drives began on October 15, with bookings and deliveries scheduled from October 20, 2026. The launch builds on the XUV 3XO’s cumulative sales of over 2.5 lakh units in under 2.5 years.
