Bajaj General Insurance Limited has launched “My Family Complete”, an integrated health insurance product that includes pet dogs and cats as insured family members, signalling a move towards more customised coverage in India’s evolving health and pet care economy.
The plan offers sum insured ranging from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 5 crore and policy tenures of up to five years, combining indemnity and benefit-based payouts. It covers eligible adults, dependent children and pets, bringing human and pet healthcare protection under a single policy framework.
Coverage includes in-patient hospitalisation, room rent, road and pet ambulance services, pre- and post-hospitalisation expenses, domiciliary care, modern treatment methods, AYUSH treatment for humans, organ donor expenses and family visit reimbursements. Customers also receive unlimited reinstatement of the sum insured, cumulative bonuses of up to 100 per cent and convalescence benefits.
The policy includes pet-focused features such as Finding Your Pet cover, emergency pet accommodation and third-party liability protection. Optional covers include air ambulance, Double Sum Insured, Major Illness and Accident Multiplier, Global Cover, NRInsure, Health Limitless and Bundle of Joy benefits.
Additional options such as Paw Promise, Extended Pet Stay and Long-Term Care, alongside family, long-term, loyalty, fitness and Walk to Win discounts, are aimed at expanding customer choice.
