Flipkart announces major supply chain expansion ahead of The Big Billion Days 2025

Flipkart has announced a significant expansion of its pan-India supply chain network ahead of its flagship festive sale, The Big Billion Days 2025. The homegrown e-commerce major has added fulfilment centres (FCs) and last-mile hubs in Varanasi, Patna, Manesar, Ranchi, Ghaziabad, Agra, and Agartala, boosting capacity across 21,000+ pincodes.

The expansion spans 35 lakh sq. ft. and covers large, non-large, and grocery categories, including Myntra. A 2.0 lakh sq. ft. facility in Varanasi has generated 3,600 jobs, while a 4.5 lakh sq. ft. centre in Patna is serving 1,000 pincodes and creating 1,100 jobs. In Manesar, a 140-acre Regional Distribution Center will employ 10,000 people, handling a diverse range of products. Flipkart has also launched its first grocery FC in Agartala with a capacity of 5,000 orders per day.

Faster supply chain linkages are expected to support consumer demand for electronics, lifestyle, and grocery products, while also enabling small sellers and logistics partners in the region to integrate with larger national networks. With over 2.2 lakh seasonal jobs created, including opportunities for women and PwDs, and nearly 400 new micro-fulfilment centres across 19 cities, Flipkart is positioning itself to deliver faster, affordable, and inclusive festive shopping experiences nationwide.
