Adani Group pitches Vande Bharatam to boost Assam’s startup ecosystem

Adani Group on Monday stepped up its nationwide outreach for Vande Bharatam, its entrepreneurship and innovation initiative, by engaging with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and showcasing the programme’s potential to strengthen the state’s startup ecosystem.

A delegation from the Group met the Chief Minister and presented him with a Vande Bharatam programme kit, memento and a letter outlining the initiative’s vision of promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and grassroots talent. During the interaction, the Group highlighted that the programme has already attracted more than 400 applications from Assam, indicating strong participation from aspiring innovators in the state.

According to the company, Vande Bharatam aims to provide entrepreneurs with access to mentorship, industry connect and a national platform to transform innovative ideas into scalable startups. The Chief Minister welcomed the initiative and appreciated its potential to further enhance Assam’s innovation ecosystem.

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said Vande Bharatam reflects the company’s belief that India’s entrepreneurial strength lies in its people and that support from leaders across the country reinforces its commitment to nurturing innovation-led ventures with long-term impact.

Launched on June 25, 2026, the nationwide initiative is open to participants from all age groups and backgrounds. Seventy-five finalists will be selected through a structured process for mentorship, investor access and the grand finale in Ahmedabad around Independence Day. Actor, television host and entrepreneur Rajeev Khandelwal has been appointed ambassador and host of the programme.
