BharathCloud launches first AI-ready sovereign cloud centre at CtrlS Hyderabad datacenter

BharathCloud has launched its first AI-ready sovereign Cloud Centre at the Hyderabad DC1 facility of CtrlS Datacenters, marking a significant step in India’s rapidly expanding digital infrastructure and cloud ecosystem.

The Cloud Centre was inaugurated by Sridhar Pinnapureddy. Global property consulting firm JLL served as the exclusive advisor for the transaction through which BharathCloud established its datacentre ecosystem.

The launch comes amid growing demand for sovereign, scalable and AI-ready infrastructure as industries accelerate digital transformation, AI adoption and data localisation initiatives. The facility is hosted within CtrlS’ AI-ready Rated-4 datacenter ecosystem and marks the beginning of BharathCloud’s infrastructure expansion plans across India.

Congratulating BharathCloud, Pinnapureddy said India’s AI and digital growth story would require resilient and secure digital infrastructure at scale, adding that CtrlS remains focused on enabling enterprises and governments with sovereign AI-ready datacenters.

Rahul Takkallapally and Padma Reddy Sama, Co-Founders of BharathCloud, said CtrlS’ digital infrastructure capabilities and JLL’s strategic expertise would help the company build “India’s most trusted AI-ready sovereign cloud ecosystem” and support its expansion nationally and globally.

The initiative forms part of BharathCloud’s planned $100 million (around ₹950 crore) investment over the next five years across cities including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Kolkata and Pune, besides Tier-II and Tier-III markets.
