Godrej Launches India’s First Face Recognition Enabled Home Locker and Smart Connected Solutions via digital locks

Godrej Enterprises Group on Monday unveiled India’s first facial recognition-enabled home locker and a range of smart connected security solutions at the Smart Home Expo 2026 in Mumbai, as the company sharpened its focus on technology-led growth in the home safety segment. The company launched the NX Pro Ncrypt home locker, which integrates facial recognition, biometric fingerprint access and digital PIN technology into a single security system. Built on advanced AES encryption, the locker converts facial data into secure digital templates instead of storing images, strengthening privacy and data protection. Users can opt for single-mode or dual-mode authentication for enhanced security.

The group also announced an investment commitment of ₹100 crore over the next three years to accelerate the development of connected, consumer-centric security products. Alongside the locker, the company showcased its Advantis IoT9-powered smart home ecosystem, where lighting and air-conditioning systems automatically adjust to user preferences once biometric access is granted. It also introduced a web-based hospitality lock solution designed for faster and contactless hotel check-ins. Pushkar Gokhale, Business Head of Security Solutions Business at Godrej Enterprises Group, said the company aims to deliver intuitive, design-led and future-ready security solutions for modern Indian consumers.

In Guwahati, rising urban housing projects, increasing disposable incomes and growing awareness around smart home technology are expected to drive demand for connected security systems in the Northeast. Retailers and industry analysts believe consumers in Guwahati are increasingly seeking advanced home safety solutions that combine convenience, privacy and digital integration.
