Nissan Motor India Private Limited on Monday launched a government-approved CNG retrofitment kit for the all-new Nissan GRAVITE, introducing a segment-first twin-cylinder setup aimed at combining space with fuel efficiency. Priced at an introductory ₹82,999, the kit will be available across 60 cities in 16 states via authorised dealerships. The GRAVITE CNG features a dual-cylinder (2×25 litres) configuration that preserves full 7-seater functionality, ensuring no compromise on third-row space, comfort and practicality. The system has been developed and quality assured by Motozen and comes with a third-party warranty of three years or 1,00,000 km. Customers can opt for installation directly through Nissan dealers.
Company officials said the move builds on the strong response to the Nissan Magnite CNG and reflects Nissan’s focus on delivering accessible and future-ready mobility solutions in India. The GRAVITE CNG is positioned as a cost-efficient alternative for families seeking everyday usability with lower per-kilometre running costs. The kit includes a BS6.2-compliant sequential system, ICAT-approved safety standards, 8.1 mm cylinder thickness, dynamic advancer technology, seamless petrol-CNG switchover, and a fuel filling point under the fuel lid for factory-like integration.
In Guwahati, where CNG adoption is gradually expanding, the GRAVITE CNG is expected to see demand among large families and high-mileage users. With rising fuel costs and increasing preference for economical commuting, Nissan’s 7-seater CNG offering could strengthen its presence in the city’s evolving mobility market while supporting cleaner urban transport choices.
