PNB MetLife India Insurance Company Limited has expanded its presence in the Northeast with the opening of a new branch in Shillong, aiming to improve access to life insurance products and customer services in Meghalaya. The insurer said the new branch is part of its strategy to strengthen its physical presence and make insurance services more accessible by offering policy support and financial advisory closer to customers.With the latest addition, PNB MetLife now operates 185 offices across India. The company said the expansion is intended to enhance customer engagement while providing easier access to protection and savings solutions through a combination of branch services and its wider distribution network.
Commenting on the development, Sameer Bansal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of PNB MetLife, said trust remains the cornerstone of the company’s relationship with customers and that expanding its branch network enables the insurer to bring protection and financial planning services closer to people while simplifying access to insurance.Beyond its branch network, PNB MetLife reaches customers through more than 20,000 bancassurance partner locations across the country, supporting the distribution of its insurance products and customer service initiatives.
In Guwahati, the Shillong branch is expected to reinforce PNB MetLife’s presence in the Northeast insurance market. As Guwahati serves as the region’s commercial and financial hub, the expansion could strengthen cross-border customer servicing between Assam and Meghalaya, improve insurance penetration, and support growing demand for life insurance and long-term financial planning across the region.
