Renault India has commenced customer deliveries of the Duster Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160 ahead of Diwali, while inaugurating its largest showroom in Hyderabad at HITEC City as part of its nationwide retail expansion strategy.
The first SUV was delivered at the newly opened 7,000 sq ft showroom, which can display eight vehicles. Francisco Hidalgo, Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Renault Group India, handed over the keys to T Krishna Gopal, CEO of Eduzi Academy. The outlet is Renault’s 30th new’R store in India and its largest in Hyderabad.
Hidalgo said the company had fulfilled its target of introducing the hybrid model within a year of planning, adding that the strong booking response reflected growing consumer acceptance of hybrid technology. Launched on October 17, 2026, at a starting price of Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Duster Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160 is Renault India’s first electrified product under its futuREady roadmap.
In Guwahati, the introduction of the strong-hybrid SUV could generate interest among premium vehicle buyers seeking fuel-efficient mobility, advanced technology and SUV versatility. The development also highlights the potential for hybrid vehicles in emerging urban markets across Northeast India.
The Hyderabad facility is Renault’s third showroom operated by VVC Group. The company plans to upgrade showrooms across 24 major cities by July 2027. Of the 73 outlets identified, 30 have already adopted the new’R format.
