Riyan Parag’s Shoulder Surgery Successful; Rehab at BCCI CoE Next

Assam’s star cricketer Riyan Parag, who had been suffering from a long-standing shoulder injury, underwent a successful surgery today. Riyan’s right shoulder surgery was performed today at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital under the supervision of eminent sports orthopedic specialist Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala. Parag had recently led Rajasthan Royals successfully in the concluded IPL, guiding them to the playoffs.
The 24-year-old all-rounder will soon begin his rehabilitation at the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. Right after the conclusion of the IPL, Riyan was selected as the vice-captain of the India A team. However, due to a hamstring injury sustained during the IPL, he was forced to pull out of the ongoing tri-series ODI tournament in Sri Lanka. Following this, Riyan underwent surgery with the goal of permanently curing his long-standing shoulder injury.
