Samsung has expanded the scale of its flagship innovation programme ‘Samsung Solve for Tomorrow’ for 2026, increasing incubation grants to INR 2 crore for the top four winning teams as the company sharpens its focus on India’s growing startup and technology ecosystem.
The programme, open for students aged 14–22 from May 7 to July 3, seeks ideas under four emerging sectors — AI Living for India, Health & Education, Environmental Sustainability, and Sport & Tech. Samsung said the initiative aligns with its long-term India growth strategy and the government’s #DigitalIndia vision.
The six-month programme will include 100 design-thinking workshops across schools and colleges, over 240,000 hours of training, mentorship, prototyping support and investor engagement opportunities. The top 40 teams will receive INR 8 lakh and Samsung laptops, while the top 20 teams will be awarded INR 20 lakh and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip smartphones. The top four winners will receive incubation support at IIT Delhi.
Samsung Southwest Asia President and CEO JB Park said the company aims to deepen innovation outreach across Bharat and strengthen India’s startup pipeline through industry-academia collaboration.
In Guwahati, the initiative could encourage greater startup participation from Northeast India, where interest in technology education, AI-driven innovation and entrepreneurship is steadily rising. Guwahati’s growing startup ecosystem, supported by educational institutions and digital infrastructure expansion, could benefit from increased access to mentorship, funding opportunities and national-level innovation platforms offered through programmes like Samsung Solve for Tomorrow.
