Tezpur University’s STRATEGIA 2026 Concludes With Business Pitch and Case Study Winners

The Department of Business Administration, Tezpur University, successfully organised STRATEGIA 2026, a Management Fest held under the banner of SAMPARK, the Department’s flagship industry-academia interface, during August 27–28, 2026. The Department has been organising SAMPARK since 1997.
In keeping with its theme of building rather than merely reading about a plan, the festival featured competitions that encouraged participants to apply managerial and strategic knowledge to practical business situations. The major competitions included the Business Pitch Competition and the Case Study Competition, with a total prize pool of ₹1,00,000.
The two-day festival received an enthusiastic response, with 137 entries from premier institutes across India, including IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Guwahati, IIT ISM Dhanbad, IIT Bombay, BHU, NMIMS, AEC, and Cotton University to name a few. Following a rigorous online screening round, the top 12 teams from each category advanced to the on-campus finale.
This year, STRATEGIA was co-powered by NEDFi and The Nook by The Padum, in association with NRL Ideation, with the Assam Startup & Innovation Foundation as the Ecosystem Partner.
The inaugural lecture was delivered by Professor Amarendra Kumar Das, Hon’ble Pro Vice-Chancellor, Tezpur University. On the occasion, Professor Arup Roy, Head, Department of Business Administration, announced that STRATEGIA would continue as an annual event.

The Business Pitch Competition was judged by Prof. Manuj Kumar Hazarika, Prof. Anjan Bhuyan, Dr. Runumi Das of Tezpur University, and Mr. Ritvik Bhattacharya, entrepreneur and alumnus. Prof. Hazarika, Department of Food Engineering & Technology, stressed the importance of problem identification in business development, while Mr. Bhattacharya emphasised careful planning, quoting, “If you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail.” and continuous innovation for sustainable businesses.
The Case Study Competition was judged by Mr. Zaveer Zaman, Assistant General Manager, NEDFi, Mr. Surjya Pratim Bordoloi, Manager, NEDFi, Professor Mrinmoy Kumar Sharma, and Professor Anjan Bhuyan of Tezpur University.
