TVS Motor Company has strengthened its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of the new TVS iQube S 4.7 kWh variant, as the company looks to further consolidate its position in India’s fast-growing electric two-wheeler market. Priced at ₹1,37,142 (effective ex-showroom Delhi, inclusive of central and state subsidies), the latest variant offers an IDC-certified range of 175 km on a single charge. The company said the upgraded 4.7 kWh battery has been introduced to provide greater practicality for both daily commuting and longer rides, while retaining the trusted riding experience of the iQube range.
The scooter will be available in three colour options — Magnificence Purple Beige, Harlequin Blue Beige, and Titanium Grey Matte. TVS Motor said the iQube platform is built around offering customers greater choice in range, connected technology, colours, safety, and ease of operation. The company noted that over 900,000 Indian families currently use TVS iQube electric scooters, which are now available across more than 1,000 cities and 3,300 dealerships nationwide, reflecting rising consumer acceptance of electric mobility in the country.
In Guwahati, automobile dealers said demand for electric scooters has witnessed steady growth amid rising fuel costs and increasing awareness about eco-friendly transportation. Industry observers believe longer-range models like the new iQube S 4.7 kWh could attract office-goers, students, and urban commuters in Assam, where EV adoption has been gradually expanding.
