TVS Racing expands Apache championship to seven countries, targets 1,200 participants

TVS Motor Company is expanding its TVS Apache Racing Experience GP (ARE GP) International championship to seven countries for the 2026-27 season, targeting more than 1,200 participants across 20 cities as it strengthens its global motorsport business. The third season begins on November 15, with Morocco, Egypt and Ivory Coast joining India, Mexico, Colombia and Nepal.

The multi-category championship will include customer and media riders, with dedicated participation opportunities for women. Competitions will feature TVS Apache RTR 200, RTR 310 and RR 310 motorcycles. Since its inception, the programme has engaged more than 4,000 participants.

Vimal Sumbly, Head of Premium Business at TVS Motor Company, said the expansion would strengthen the company’s international racing ecosystem and create opportunities for emerging talent. Rewards include MotoGP experiences, wildcard entries in TVS One Make Championship races, merchandise, factory visits and riding experiences.

The expansion builds on TVS Racing’s four-decade motorsport legacy. The programme began in 2007 and became a structured championship in 2023. TVS Apache has more than seven million customers internationally, while its owners’ group has over 500,000 registered members.

For Guwahati, the scheduled November 21 round presents an opportunity to connect regional Apache customers with organised motorsport and professional racing experiences. The event could strengthen brand engagement and visibility in Assam’s premium motorcycle segment, although the company has not announced specific local sales or revenue targets.

The season’s tentative calendar runs from November 2026 to April 2027, with the final scheduled in Chennai on April 11, 2027.
