Vi Business, the enterprise arm of Vodafone Idea Limited, has partnered with Cisco to strengthen its Hybrid SD-WAN portfolio, targeting the growing demand for secure, scalable and intelligent enterprise networks as businesses accelerate cloud adoption and distributed operations.
The partnership combines Cisco Meraki’s cloud-managed secure multi-WAN capabilities with Vi Business’ nationwide managed connectivity. The Hybrid SD-WAN solution, launched by Vi Business in 2023, integrates SD-WAN, security and multi-cloud connectivity across leased lines, broadband and cellular networks.
From a market perspective, the partnership comes as India’s SD-WAN market is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 20.5% to USD 14.6 billion by 2031, according to industry estimates cited by the companies. The growth reflects rising enterprise demand for flexible networking infrastructure amid cloud and AI-led digital transformation.
Cisco Meraki’s single dashboard enables application and performance-aware routing, security, Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity. Vi Business will provide proactive monitoring, lifecycle management, end-to-end support and a single point of contact through a fully managed service model, reducing the need for upfront capital expenditure.
M P Sunil Kumar, Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Vodafone Idea Limited, said the collaboration would help enterprises centrally manage distributed networks while simplifying operations. Ashok Shivashankar, Managing Director, Partner Organization, Cisco India & South Asia, said the solution would support greater agility, scalability and operational efficiency while accelerating digital transformation.
