Skoda Auto India continued its growth trajectory in the first half of 2026, registering its highest-ever half-yearly sales of 38,894 units, a 7.5 per cent increase over the corresponding period last year. The performance marks the company’s second consecutive record-breaking first half and builds on its strongest-ever annual sales of 72,665 vehicles achieved in 2025, when it recorded 107 per cent year-on-year growth. The company said the milestone reflects sustained demand for its expanding portfolio, which includes the Kylaq, Kushaq, Slavia and Kodiaq. Brand Director Ashish Gupta said customer confidence in the Skoda brand has strengthened through a focused product offensive, customer-first initiatives and an emphasis on ownership experience. He noted that the new Kushaq, updated Kodiaq and all-new Kodiaq RS have witnessed strong demand, with the Kodiaq RS selling out within six minutes of launch. The Kylaq continues to drive volumes, while the Slavia remains a key offering in the sedan segment.
Skoda Auto India has also expanded its network to more than 340 customer touchpoints across 189 cities, enhancing accessibility and after-sales support. The recent launch of Skoda Express Care is aimed at improving convenience, transparency and service efficiency for customers across the country. The automaker also strengthened its performance credentials during the period by setting an India and Asia Book of Records for the fastest multi-car relay by a single manufacturer on a circuit. The Slavia Monte Carlo, Kushaq Monte Carlo, Kylaq, Kodiaq and limited-edition Octavia RS collectively completed the challenge at the CoASTT circuit in Coimbatore in a total lap time of 12:30.97, forming the basis of the company’s “Greatest On A Track is a Skoda On A Track” campaign.
Globally, Skoda Auto delivered more than 1.04 million vehicles in 2025 and continues to expand across key growth markets, including India, Vietnam and the ASEAN region. The company, part of the Volkswagen Group for over three decades, currently offers 14 passenger vehicle model ranges worldwide while pursuing its Next Level Skoda Strategy to become one of Europe’s top three best-selling brands by the end of the decade. In Guwahati, Skoda’s expanding dealership and service network is expected to strengthen its presence in Assam and the wider Northeast. Demand for premium SUVs has been rising steadily in the region, driven by improving road connectivity, higher disposable incomes and growing consumer preference for feature-rich vehicles. Models such as the Kylaq, Kushaq and Kodiaq are well positioned to benefit from this trend, while wider service coverage is likely to enhance customer confidence and support the brand’s long-term growth in the Northeast.
